Short pasta
Short types of pasta are great to scoop sauces inside. For example, with its rough surface, penne and rigatoni pasta picks up the sauce perfectly and goes wonderfully with hearty and thick sauces like ragu. On the other hand, fusilli pasta pairs well with lighter and smoother sauces such as pesto and tomato sauce. Whilst, conchiglioni pasta is perfect for stuffing and baking dishes.
