Mate is an award-winning organic olive producer from Croatia

Founded by Mate, Croatian, with a long working experience in Tuscany. At age 75, Mate planted his first olive tree in his beloved Istria and built his mill overlooking the Adriatic sea.

Mate olive grove geographic location is privileged, making it easier to make world-class extra virgin olive oils. The Adriatic sea is only a few hundred metres away, which guarantees a mild climate during the winter months, and the salty sea breeze enhances the oil flavours.

They carefully hand-pick olives every year at the olive farm and mill them immediately. Last year the farm produced 22,400 litres. Year after year, Flos Olei selects Mate as one of the world's best producers.
