Arriba chocolate Domori - Ecuador

Arriba is a fresh and delicate dark chocolate that grows exclusively in Ecuador. It makes up approximately 2% of the world's cocoa harvest. Domori Arriba is produced by Hacienda Victoria, which stands in the land considered sacred with a more than 2,000-year-old tradition of cultivating cocoa thanks to favourable climatic conditions that alternate periods of rain with periods of drought.

Being one of the leading countries producing high-quality cocoa imposed a demand for large yields cocoa varieties, unfortunately also with a low aromatic profile. Luckily there are sensible people like Andres Guzman and Charlie Garcia from Hacienda Victoria. Thanks to their vision, they built a modern and avant-garde plantation to protect Arriba National cocoa and grown in purity, free from contamination with CCN51. Executive Director Andrés Guzman, started the collaboration with the UNOCACE cooperative and its 927 small producers. The Hacienda is committed to creating awareness and enhancing the contribution of producers in every phase of selection and collection, ensuring the production of the authentic Arriba Nacional cocoa, characterized by its strong floral notes. Arriba cocoa from Hacienda Victoria in tasting offers an extraordinary roundness and aromatic notes of white flowers, dried fruit and spices, making it one of the most popular cocoas in the world.

Hacienda Victoria also actively contributes to the development of the local community, building schools and paying for teaching materials to increase education.
