Frantoio is a highly esteemed Italian olive variety, originally from the Tuscany region. In Istria, it has been grown since the 1940s Frantoio olive oil has a very fruity taste with beautiful aromas.
It is light green olive oil, with a scent and dominating taste of fresh olive fruit, almond and aromatic herbs; moderately bitter, with a strong pepperoncino pungency.

- Frantoio got Gourmet award in the category Intense Ripe Taste extra virgin olive oils
- Leccino was awarded a silver medal in the category Medium Ripe Taste extra virgin olive oils.
2019, 2018. – GOLD AWARD – Vergal Frantoio was named one of the best olive oils in the world in 2018 and won a gold medal in the category of delicate monovarietal olive oils.
2018 – Vergal Frantoio awarded a gold gourmet medal at the World Edible Oils International Contest AVPA.
April 2017 – BEST in CLASS – Vergal Frantoio won the prestigious Best in Class award in the category of delicate monovarietal oils (out of 12 categories for the northern hemisphere).
